White-label taxi app: how it works and what it costs in 2026

What you get, the four ways providers charge for it, and the costs nobody puts on the pricing page.

Short answerA white-label taxi app is ready-made ride-hailing software that you publish under your own brand. In 2026 you usually pay a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee, a fee per vehicle, or a share of each ride. Public examples range from GBP 17 per vehicle a month for dispatch to one-time fees of several thousand dollars plus a revenue share. Building the same thing yourself usually costs €150,000 to €350,000. See HOPIN pricing.

What is a white-label taxi app?

A white-label taxi app is a complete ride-hailing system built by one company and sold to many operators, who each publish it under their own name. Riders see your logo, your colors and your prices. They never see the software company behind it.

It's the same idea as a supermarket's own-brand cereal. Someone else makes it, you put your label on it, and your customers buy it from you.

A full white-label taxi platform usually has four parts:

  • A passenger app for iOS and Android, where riders book, track and pay.
  • A driver app that receives jobs, shows the route and tracks earnings.
  • A dispatch and admin panel where your team manages rides, drivers, tariffs and reports.
  • Payments by card, cash or company account.

Some platforms add more on top: business accounts, courier delivery, parking or tools that help you win and keep riders. Here is what the HOPIN platform includes.

How it works in practice

You don't install anything. The provider hosts the system, and you get your own copy of the apps with your branding. A typical project looks like this:

  1. You agree on a package and sign a contract.
  2. You send your brand: name, logo, colors and the texts for the app stores.
  3. The provider sets up your city: tariffs, zones, ride classes and payment methods.
  4. Your drivers register in the driver app and do test rides.
  5. The apps are published in the App Store and Google Play under your company.
  6. You launch and run the business from the admin panel.

With HOPIN this takes 4 to 8 weeks. Other providers state their own times: Onde mentions launching in about a month on its entry plan, and Atom Mobility says 20 days. See the HOPIN launch plan week by week.

The four pricing models you'll see

Providers price in different ways, and the model matters as much as the number. These are the models published on vendors' own websites in October 2026.

1. One-time fee plus a revenue share

You pay once to get started, then a percentage of each trip. Onde, for example, lists a one-time fee from $4,500 on its entry plan, a $99 monthly support fee, and a revenue share calculated from the trip cost. You pay little while you're small, and more as you grow.

2. A price per vehicle per month

You pay for each active car. TaxiCaller lists GBP 17 per vehicle a month for its taxi dispatch solution in the UK, with no setup cost and no long contract. It's simple to budget, and the cost grows with your fleet, not your rides.

3. Setup fee plus a monthly fee based on usage

Atom Mobility charges a one-time setup fee and then a monthly fee based on the rides or vehicles on the platform, with rates that fall as volume grows. Most of its contracts run for 12 to 24 months.

4. Setup fee, monthly fee and a small fee per ride

This is the HOPIN model. You pay a monthly fee (€390 on Core, €590 on Growth) and 2% of the fare for every completed ride. The per-ride fee is small, so the platform earns more only when you do.

None of these is always cheaper. A small fleet with few rides often pays less on a revenue share. A busy fleet with few cars may prefer a per-vehicle price. Work out your numbers for year one and year three before you choose.

What the price usually includes

Most white-label packages include:

  • Branded passenger and driver apps for iOS and Android
  • The dispatch and admin panel
  • Hosting, updates and bug fixes
  • Technical support, often 24/7
  • Help with publishing in the app stores

Check the details. Some providers include app store optimization or launch campaigns in higher plans. Others charge extra for a fully rebranded app, for extra integrations or for API access.

Costs that are not in the software price

The software is only one part of what you'll spend. Plan for these too:

  • App store accounts: Apple charges a yearly developer fee and Google a one-time registration fee. The accounts should be in your company's name.
  • Payment processing: your payment provider charges a fee on every card payment.
  • Licenses and insurance: taxi and driver licenses, vehicle checks and insurance, depending on your country and city.
  • Drivers: recruiting, onboarding and keeping them, often with bonuses in the first months.
  • Marketing: a launch offer, ads and local partnerships to get your first riders.
  • Your team: at least one person for operations and customer support.

Ask every provider which of these they help with. Some leave you alone after launch. Others, like HOPIN, include tools and playbooks for the first months.

White-label vs building your own

Building your own taxi app means building everything above yourself: two mobile apps, a dispatch system, an admin panel, payments, maps and hosting. HOPIN estimates that this usually costs €150,000 to €350,000 and takes 12 to 18 months before launch, plus a team to keep it running.

Building makes sense for a few companies with a truly unique model and a big budget. For most operators, white-label is faster and cheaper. Read our full build vs buy guide.

Questions to ask before you sign

  1. What exactly does the setup fee cover?
  2. Are the apps published under my company, in my own developer accounts?
  3. Who owns the rider and driver data?
  4. Is the revenue share on every ride, or only on some?
  5. How long is the contract, and what happens if I leave?
  6. Are maps, SMS and notifications included, or billed separately?
  7. Which payment providers work in my country?
  8. What support do I get, and at what hours?
  9. What happens after launch? Do you help me get riders and keep them?
  10. Can I see the software running in a real, busy market?

The last question says a lot. A demo account is useful. A live service with real riders is better.

How HOPIN prices it

HOPIN offers three packages, each matching a layer of the platform:

  • Core: the branded apps, dispatch, payments, business accounts and the launch system, for €390 a month.
  • Growth: everything in Core, plus retention flows, a growth dashboard and a monthly review. €590 a month.
  • Network: everything in Growth, plus Hopin Club and the HOPIN Network, coming in 2027.

Every package adds 2% of the fare per completed ride. The same platform runs HOPIN's own service in 8 Slovak cities, with 120,000+ bookings a month. See the packages or book a demo to get a price for your city.

FAQ

How much does a white-label taxi app cost per month?

It depends on the model. Published examples in 2026 include GBP 17 per vehicle a month for dispatch (TaxiCaller, UK) and a $99 monthly support fee plus a revenue share (Onde). HOPIN charges €390 or €590 a month depending on the package, plus 2% of the fare per completed ride.

Is there always a setup fee?

No. Some providers, like TaxiCaller, have no setup cost. Others, like Onde, Atom Mobility and HOPIN, charge a one-time fee to brand, configure and publish your apps.

Can I launch a taxi app with no budget?

You can start the software cheaply. Onde even offers a free option. But you still need money for licenses, drivers and marketing, and those usually cost more than the software.

Who owns the app with white-label software?

Your brand and your customers are yours. The software stays the provider's. Ask for the apps to be published in your own developer accounts, and check who owns the data in the contract.
