A note before we start
We make HOPIN, so we're not neutral. To keep this fair, every fact about other platforms comes from their own websites, checked in October 2026, and every platform gets a section on where it's stronger than us. Prices and features change, so check each vendor's site before you decide.
We compare four platforms that operators in Europe often shortlist: Onde, Atom Mobility, TaxiCaller and HOPIN. For a side-by-side table, see our comparison page.
How we compared them
We looked at the questions operators ask us most:
- What is it? A software vendor, or an operator that also sells its platform?
- Who is it for? Taxi fleets, ride-hailing startups, vehicle sharing?
- How do you try it? Free trial, free plan or demo?
- How is it priced? Per vehicle, per ride, revenue share or monthly fee?
- How fast can you launch?
- What happens after launch? Does it help you get and keep riders?
Onde
What it is: a ride-hailing software vendor, formerly known as TaxiStartup. It offers a customer app, a driver app, an operator app for phone orders and an admin hub, plus a Super App plan for ride-hailing with food delivery.
Pricing: a one-time fee (from $4,500 on its Starting up plan), a $99 monthly support fee and a revenue share of trip cost. There's a 14-day free trial and a free Onde.Light option with no setup fee.
Launch: about one month on the Starting up plan.
Growth help: in-app marketing and app store optimization in every plan, and paid acquisition campaigns with install targets in higher plans. Onde also sells digital marketing services.
Where it's strong: a big partner base (400+ companies), easy ways to try it, published prices and a lot of helpful content.
Watch out for: the revenue share grows with your rides, so model your costs for year three, not only year one.
Atom Mobility
What it is: a mobility software vendor with three products: vehicle sharing, digital rental and ride-hailing. It supports scooters, bikes, mopeds, cars and more, with many IoT and payment integrations.
Pricing: a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee based on rides or vehicles, with rates that fall as volume grows. Most contracts run 12 to 24 months.
Launch: 20 days, and as fast as 10 days on some plans.
Growth help: in-app messages, push notifications, email marketing, loyalty and referral programs, and a marketing agency service.
Where it's strong: scale (300+ projects, 2,100,000+ rides a month in 140+ cities), launch speed and multi-vehicle support.
Watch out for: ride-hailing is one of three products, and the platform's roots are in vehicle sharing. Check the taxi features you need, like phone bookings and business accounts, in the demo.
TaxiCaller
What it is: cloud-based dispatch software for professional taxi fleets, with modules for school-run, paratransit and shuttle services.
Pricing: GBP 17 per vehicle a month for its taxi dispatch solution in the UK, with no setup cost and no long contract. Enterprise pricing on request. There's a 14-day free trial.
Launch: no launch time stated on its home page. With a free trial and no setup, you can start testing right away.
Growth help: promotions and referral codes, and passenger notifications by SMS and email.
Where it's strong: dispatch depth for phone-heavy fleets (caller-ID, IVR booking, VoIP), a simple public price, 99.999% stated uptime and a 4.8/5 rating from its reviews.
Watch out for: the Scale plan includes the TaxiCaller passenger app. If a fully branded app matters to you, ask what the rebranded app costs.
HOPIN
What it is: a ride-hailing operator that offers its own platform to other operators. HOPIN has run taxi in Slovakia since 2017 and today handles 120,000+ bookings a month for 70,000+ active customers in 8 cities, plus bus tickets in Košice, courier delivery and parking.
Pricing: €390 or €590 a month and 2% of the fare per ride. See the packages.
Launch: 4 to 8 weeks.
Growth help: the Growth System is part of the product: retention flows, a launch system and a growth dashboard, with Hopin Club rewards planned for 2027. Marketing services are a paid add-on.
Where it's strong: proof from a live operator, retention built in, and city services beyond taxi.
Watch out for: no free trial, fewer partners than the big vendors so far, and a longer launch time than Atom Mobility's 20 days.

How to choose
Start with what you run, not with feature lists:
- An existing taxi fleet that mainly needs dispatch: TaxiCaller is worth a look.
- Scooters, bikes or car sharing: Atom Mobility is built for it.
- A new ride-hailing brand on a small budget, anywhere in the world: Onde makes starting easy.
- A taxi or ride-hailing brand that wants riders to keep coming back, backed by a live operator: that's what HOPIN is built for.
Then book demos with two or three vendors and test them with your own cases. Our 12-point checklist helps you ask the right questions.
FAQ
